Our work

# Before and after

These are our own jobs around Reno-Sparks. Drag each slider to see the same window, patio or storefront before and after we installed solar screens or a shade screen.

Before After

Rear windows of a two-story home, solar screens

A recent job: solar screens on the upper and lower rear windows of a two-story home. The screens sit flat in their own frames, and the wall reads even from the yard. See [solar screens](https://a-affordablescreen.com/services/solar-screens/).

Before After

Patio windows, solar screens

Exterior solar screens over a bank of patio windows. From outside the glass reads darker and more even; from inside the view stays open while the glare drops. See [solar screens](https://a-affordablescreen.com/services/solar-screens/).

Before After

Commercial storefront window, solar screens

A storefront window before and after solar screens. Screens cut glare on displays and screens inside and help with daytime privacy from the street. See [commercial solar screens](https://a-affordablescreen.com/services/commercial-solar-screens/).

Before After

Carport awning, sun-shade screen wall

A shade-screen wall added along a carport cover to block low afternoon sun. See [patio and carport shade screens](https://a-affordablescreen.com/services/patio-shade-screens/).

Before After

Rear windows of a stucco home, solar screens

Solar screens on the rear windows of a stucco home, a common Reno-Sparks setup where the back of the house takes the afternoon sun. See [80% vs 90% fabric](https://a-affordablescreen.com/guides/80-vs-90-percent-solar-screens/).

Before After

The same two-story home from the patio corner, solar screens

The same two windows from the patio corner, before and after. There is a short walk-around video of this job below.

## Solar screens on Reno-Sparks homes

A two-story home before and after, and two finished homes. Solar screens come in several colors and openness levels; we bring samples to your home.

## What to look for in a solar screen job

Look at the edges. A well-fitted screen sits flat in its frame with even tension and no light gaps at the corners. The fabric should run the same direction on every window of a wall, so the color reads evenly from the street.

Openness changes the look. A tighter weave (often called 90%) looks darker from outside and blocks more sun; a more open weave (80%) keeps more view. Our [80% vs 90% guide](https://a-affordablescreen.com/guides/80-vs-90-percent-solar-screens/) and [colors and privacy guide](https://a-affordablescreen.com/guides/solar-screen-colors-and-privacy/) show how to choose.

## Want to see a job like yours?

Tell us what you are planning, for example a west-facing slider, a second-story arched window, a storefront or a carport, and ask whether we have photos of a similar job. We are happy to talk it through at your [free on-site measure](https://a-affordablescreen.com/free-quote/).
